Over the years, representation of women in the UK financial services industry has improved; as of 2019, women made up 43% of the finance workforce. However, if we dig deeper into this representation, we see that there is much work to be done to achieve gender parity in the FS industry, where women make up only:
33% of all board positions in the UK’s FTSE 100 companies
20% of executive committee members in major financial services firms
15% of finance directors
12% of CFO roles globally
Less than 1 in 5 C-suite positions in Financial Services
