Improving people's lives by connecting trade, finance and technology. The World Trade Symposium is a unique platform for world business, policy and technology leaders to connect, collaborate and re-imagine tomorrow’s marketplaces. It aims to improve global quality of life by seeking innovative ways to converge trade, finance, technology and people, to secure long-term economic growth and drive financial inclusion. It was formed in 2016 through a collaboration between Finastra, a global financial services provider and FT Live, a division of the Financial Times specialising in strategic forums, and is led by the World Trade Board. The World Trade Board comprises global leaders, innovative thinkers and industry experts and manages a number of working groups to realise the vision. The Annual Symposium is held every summer for 250 of the industry’s most influential decision makers and experts, to debate the issues and opportunities for global trade and explore the potential to transform trade with digital at its core.
