Amy Maier began her career in public relations at the worldwide PR agency, Burson-Marsteller and its public affairs affiliate, BKSH in Washington, D.C., where she assisted with the creation of PR campaigns, proposals and media events, including the unveiling of the women’s suffrage statue in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.
Maier went on to work on Capitol Hill for nearly a decade rising to serve as press secretary/ communications director and chief of staff for a veteran member of Congress from Nevada. In these roles she managed media relations, developed comprehensive communication strategies, wrote speeches, and directed the operations of four Congressional offices, legislative agenda, and messaging.
She then joined The Brand Experience to lead a multi-million-dollar experiential marketing center on Capitol Hill. After relocating to Las Vegas in 2006, Maier managed the development of similar projects across the U.S. and in China before joining a boutique Las Vegas PR agency where she handled PR for transportation, technology, law, and higher education clients.
In 2014, Maier joined Faiss Foley Warren, now The Warren Group, and currently oversees the PR efforts for the Plaza Hotel & Casino; Oscar’s steakhouse; The Neon Museum; the nonprofit Delivering with Dignity; the tech-based real estate broker, Homie; Nevada’s start-up incubator, StartUpNV; and shareDOWNTOWN, a new apartment complex in the downtown Arts District. She has previously assisted with marketing downtown Las Vegas, represented the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada for more than a decade, and coordinated PR for various restaurants and other local businesses.
Maier successfully raises her clients’ profiles locally and beyond through ongoing PR campaigns that involve strategic messaging, media outreach, partnerships, social media/digital coordination, and special events. She has won awards from the local chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for her work.
