Alex received his doctorate in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, with a focus on climate science and policy. He is a well-known expert in responsible sourcing, sustainability, carbon accounting, environmental policy, and economics. Alex is also a published author and a frequent speaker at conferences that focus on responsible sourcing and supply chain management. Prior to co-founding SupplyShift, Alex was a professor of Policy and Science at San Jose State University and a co-founder of an environmental consulting firm focused on climate and carbon consulting for enterprise and government clients.
