Alex Slater is an internationally recognized civil rights advocate, award-winning public relations leader, and successful corporate campaigner. Slater is the founder and CEO of Clyde Group, a strategic communications and public affairs agency based in Washington, D.C., which has developed strong expertise in DE&I since the firm’s inception in 2015.

Slater brings a passion for the intersection of corporate/brand DE&I work with social justice, having led major campaigns in both of those spaces. He is also an expert in crisis communications, assisting some of the world’s largest brands facing complex crises and/or issues management, particularly as they relate to social justice as it becomes an increasingly prominent topic in today’s world.

Slater is a leader, not only of Clyde Group, but through his service on the boards of four organizations intersecting with LGBTQ+ engagement and society: Whitman-Walker Health, Asylum Works, the Victory Fund, and the Leslie Lohman Museum of Art.
