Dr. Mele is a 2021 graduate of Bastyr University in Seattle, WA where she earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina in Environmental and Geological Sciences (2015) but upon entering the search for graduate programs found the field of naturopathic medicine. Dr. Mele honors the vitalist traditions of naturopathic medicine while intertwining evidence-based clinical practice. She has a strong passion, interest and training in botanical medicine and enjoys working with patients to find their own herbal allies. Dr. Mele has a special interest in treating women’s health, gastrointestinal disorders and autoimmune diseases. Herbs, movement, nutrition and hydrotherapy are the roots of natural medicine- and help to subtly shift the body’s energetic signature toward health and healing. Dr. Mele primarily focuses on these modalities of treatment along with advanced training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. CST and Visceral Manipulation are used to treat chronic GI concerns, musculoskeletal concerns, TMJ, headaches, sinus issues, post-surgical care, TBI and as a form of somatic release for physical or emotional trauma. Dr. Mele believes the patient is their own healing force, she is simply there to facilitate and provide the tools for the journey.
