I am a professional problem solver.
I am running because our city isn’t working for anyone. I will make it work for everyone. Our problems are interconnected. That’s the key to solving them. I don’t have all the answers, but the keys are held by our frontline workers and in our communities.
I know this because I have 40 years of unparalleled experience as a hands-on doer: in local government, most recently at the city's Campaign Finance Board, where I co-created NYC Votes and in our school system; in business starting in arts and architecture, through investment banking, launching the NYC tech startup community and co/founder of 12 startups. I was most recently a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase.
I am a child of immigrants who grew up in white middle America. I never fit the image of what you’re “supposed” to look like. I know what it’s like not to belong and that’s why I came to New York City. That’s why I want NYC to remain the place where everyone belongs. And where the city actually works for everyone. I am committed to making that dream of NYC a reality.
