I am the proud founder of the Black Planters Facebook Group. Currently in the esteemed Facebook Community Accelerator Program, I am dedicated to fostering a thriving and inclusive community of plant enthusiasts. Through my work, I am breaking down barriers and challenging the underrepresentation of diverse voices in the gardening industry. We hope to encourage young and new planters and start community gardens in predominantly black areas.
With a strong educational background in plants (botany, natural science, and biology degrees), an in-depth understanding of botany and horticulture, unwavering commitment to inclusivity, and a passion for sharing knowledge, I have become a trusted resource and expert in the field for plant lovers.
My expertise and insights have been recognized and highlighted by reputable publications and I have had the privilege of being interviewed by renowned media outlets. Essence, Martha Stewart, Architectural Digest, Tastemade Home, NBC Boston, etc have interviewed and featured me.
