As Founder and CEO of Brightmark, Bob Powell leads the company’s vision to solve circularity challenges at scale, developing circular solutions to tackle the world’s most complex challenges. Together, with an interdisciplinary team of experts across engineering, energy, sustainable finance, technology, policy, and social impact, Brightmark is moving circular innovation forward through plastics renewal and renewable natural gas projects, utilizing available feedstocks across sectors, transforming waste into valuable resources.
As a lifelong environmentalist, Powell is committed to maximizing Brightmark’s impact, partnering with community organizations and environmental agencies to address plastics pollution to make a positive environmental impact on the world and the communities where it operates.
Powell obtained an MBA in Accounting and Finance and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
