Brett Josephson is an expert in marketing, political marketing, government contracting, business-to-government relationships, and lobbying. His research interests focus primarily on the interface between firms and the federal government, both in terms of firms procurement and acquisition efforts, and their management of the regulatory environment (lobbying, PACs, political spending, etc.). Currently, he is researching how marketing affects macro trends in society including depression. He is also working on projects focusing on remote learning during pandemic, firm fundraising, corporate social activism and state opioid levels. His research has appeared in prestigious marketing journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Marketing Letters, and Customer Needs and Solutions. Josephson has been featured in Washington Business Journal, Washington Technology, Executive Biz, and The Government Buys From... a Podcast.
