I am a freelance writer with a focus on sustainability, travel and tourism, and ecology. Previous jobs include Administrative Assistant for the Illinois Green Economy Network, where I completed the first-ever Greenhouse Gas Inventory for Southwest Illinois College. Additional work included organizing events for sustainability professionals, creating media content, and managing volunteers for various sustainability-oriented events.
I was a volunteer and then a Fellow for the St. Louis Emergency Response Team, a nonprofit in Missouri dedicated to environmental conservation, disaster relief, wildland firefighting, and the eradication of homelessness. In addition to leading field teams, I was responsible for community outreach, grant writing, and public information. I have experience as the Public Information Officer for multiple natural disasters on behalf of the St. Louis Emergency Response Team, as well as experience working closely with community members and leaders in disaster recovery and preparedness. Through my work with the Response Team, I have been published in several newspapers, as well as interviewed for radio and television.
Currently, I am finishing my B.S. in Sustainability with a focus in Ecology and a minor in Travel and Tourism.
