Cara Smyth is a Gabelli Fellow and Founder of the Responsible Business Coalition, a cross-sector research facility, at Fordham University. She is the Chair of Fashion Makes Change, an industry initiative in collaboration with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, and leads Accenture’s Responsible Retail data-driven ESG practice. Within her work, Cara applies a data-driven ESG lens (Environmental, Social and Governance) to build new opportunities that capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for end-to-end responsible business transformation – reducing impact, optimizing supply chains, leveraging consumer interest, utilizing smart data and innovating for growth.
We’re looking at what is getting embedded into each vertical of the business. If we talk about preferred fibers, or agriculture or chemicals, what has to happen along the way? What’s that data layer that’s making us smarter and driving efficiencies [in theses areas]?
