Chris Putrimas took over Teak Warehouse as Chief Executive Officer in 2021 with the mission of providing customers with the highest quality teak and outdoor furniture at wholesale prices. With nearly 20 years of design business experience prior to the acquisition of Teak Warehouse, Putrimas developed unparalleled expertise in managing and growing design-focused companies, and efficiently scaling them to profitability.
Harnessing a lifelong love for quality, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship, Putrimas got his start in the design industry at Dr. Teak, where he led the company as President for 14 years until he ultimately sold it in 2018. Throughout this time, Putrimas managed the company’s accounting, administration, sales, and operations, with an adept eye for generating growth. During his tenure at Dr. Teak, Putrimas broadened his reach in the field by acquiring umbrella manufacturer, Santa Barbara Designs, and stepping in as Chief Operating Officer. Utilizing his business acumen and industry expertise, Putrimas sold the company in 2017 for a 200% profit. In addition to his current position at Teak Warehouse, Putrimas is also the Chief Executive Officer for Couverture, a furniture cover manufacturer that he founded in 2010 and successfully transformed into a multi-million dollar company.
