Darren Franceschini, co-founder and COO of BlockBank, began his career working on the growth and strategic development of numerous technology startups — playing a key role in everything from staff recruitment and training to elevated sales and marketing strategies.
In 2011, Franceschini became an early adopter of bitcoin when he began mining and trading. A few years later, he independently launched and marketed his first cryptocurrency, Zeitcoin, in an event so large that it melted Supernova’s servers. Outside of his work with Zeitcoin, Franceschini advised more than 100 cryptocurrencies, ICOs, and blockchain start-ups on market strategy, branding, and technical application development. He has also consulted on large-scale projects for major crypto exchanges and the top five banks in Canada, Additionally, Franceschini facilitated the distribution and monetization model for bitcoin ATM companies and helped four companies go public in Canada
As part of his work with crypto projects and tokens, Franceschini consulted about 20 projects specifically on investor relations and funding rounds, resulting in approximately $200 million in capital. He has been invited to speak at some of the largest blockchain conferences in the world and provided insight to prestigious media outlets including Bloomberg. When Franceschini isn’t running BlockBank’s day-to-day operations, he also serves as a blockchain mentor at The Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed accelerator
