"WITH A WORLD IN TRANSITION, YOU NEED A FIRM FOR THESE CHANGING TIMES." ~David Cannady, Esq.26 July 2022
We’ve only been to arraignment and also the bail hearing. The only argument we’ve made is that he’s not a flight risk because he is an American citizen. He has surrendered his travel documents to the court, and he has no priors or has been in trouble before. They’ve also taken certain precautions with him, so there’s no reason for the court to not let him out. He has no history of violence either. These would be conditions traditionally that a judge or prosecutor would lean on to keep someone in custody, but since he isn’t a criminal and had no history of violence the court agreed with us to let him out.2 April 2022
