David Duecker is CEO for Bike.com, and is responsible for leading the overall business direction for both the ecommerce platform and the line of Denago eBikes. As a founding member, Duecker has been involved in every aspect of Bike.com’s inception – from initial vision to the brand’s current roadmap. Duecker is a proven industry leader with over two decades of expertise in senior management positions, specifically in the bike and outdoor industries.
Prior to founding Bike.com, Duecker spent 13 ½ years at Pacific Cycle, which serves as the parent company of bicycle brands such as Schwinn and Mongoose. He joined their team in 2008 as Senior Product Manager, working his way up to Global Brand Director and eventually Vice President of Products where he set the strategic brand, product vision and multi-year blueprints while also driving innovation and process improvements for all of Pacific Cycle's globally recognized brands.
This, in combination with years of additional marketing experience, and a genuine passion for riding bikes, positions him to continue to grow Bike.com to become the all-inclusive resource bicyclists have been needing. Duecker enjoys working alongside and leading a team of industry experts with a goal of not only offering a vast array of bikes, but developing the best possible customer experience from the first click.
He still gets a thrill from taking a group of friends and family out for their first eBike ride. Their sheer delight is what keeps the CEO motivated to ensure that Bike.com helps riders gain confidence and enjoy the full eBike experience.
Naturally, Duecker is also an avid cyclist himself, competing in a number of sprint, Olympic and half Ironman races, as well as countless mountain bike races. His most notable, however, are the Ironman Wisconsin and the Birkebeinerrittet 86 kilometer mountain bike race.
Duecker holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Cardinal-Stritch University.
