Denis Mars is the co-founder and CEO of Proxy, a company on a mission to empower all people to own and control the most accurate, the most secure, and the most connected representation of themselves. At Proxy, Denis is the visionary behind technologies that revolutionize the way we experience the world, making it possible to do things and live our lives in ways we could never imagine.
Prior to founding Proxy, Mars was the Director of Admissions at Y Combinator, where he was responsible for initiating programs to discover and evaluate the most promising founders and ideas that could change the world for the better. Denis was discovered by Y Combinator as the founder of Meetings.io, which was acquired by Jive Software. Meetings.io was the world's first privacy-driven, peer-to-peer distributed video conferencing system running entirely in the browser. Even in his early career, entrepreneurism drove Denis as he founded an automotive startup and served as Chief Engineer for a championship winning Formula 3 race team. He earned a B.S. in Physics and a B.E. Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney.
