Allison Bryant, MD, MPH, is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) subspecialist and is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Harvard Medical School. She is the Senior Medical Director for Health Equity for the Mass General Brigham health system and is the Frederic D. Frigoletto, MD Endowed Chair in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Bryant evaluates and manages patients contemplating pregnancy and those with high-risk pregnancies. She participates in prenatal diagnosis, sees patients for prenatal care and consultation and works as part of the inpatient antepartum and Labor and Delivery teams. She received degrees in biology, public health and medicine from Harvard University, where she also completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowships in Maternal/Fetal Medicine and the Commonwealth Fund/Harvard University Fellowship in Minority Health Policy.
She currently serves as a member of several regional and national women’s health and equity improvement efforts such as the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Maternal Mortality Review Committee, the Massachusetts Maternal Mortality and Racial Inequity Legislative Commission, the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine’s Board of Directors and the committees of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her work at MGB focuses on the elimination of the influences of structural racism on health and health care across the health system, and she is especially passionate about achieving equity in obstetrical care and outcomes for women of color.
