Dr. Maya Thosani is double board certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, plus owner of Modern Dermatology in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has performed over 15,000 Mohs micrographic surgeries, as well as countless other surgical procedures and has been named “Top Doc” every year since 2017 by Phoenix Magazine.

Dr. Thosani attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now called Rutgers Medical School. She also served in the Gold Humanism Honor Society - which recognizes those who practice patient-centered care by modeling the qualities of integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect, and empathy. Training in one of the most underserved areas of the country created the desire to provide care to those without access.

Dr. Thosani made it her goal to take care of all those in need and accept all insurances and plans to provide care indiscriminately. She served three years of dermatology residency and served as a Chief resident and solidified her knowledge in dermoscopy, skin cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment modalities. She then completed a demanding one year accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery in Cincinnati and performed over 1700 surgeries and reconstructions during this time.
