Richard Robinson, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He serves as Director of Clinical Training for the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology and its affiliated internship program. He specializes in working with individuals with chronic physical problems, including musculoskeletal pain and migraines.

Dr. Robinson earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at UT Southwestern, where he also completed a research fellowship. He received advanced training in behavioral medicine through a fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2001.

Dr. Robinson’s research interests include adult attachment, effectiveness of interdisciplinary care, and prescription drug misuse.
