Gerome Sapp is a former Baltimore Ravens Safety turned entrepreneur. He studied finance at Notre Dame, where he was team captain and all-American. Sapp furthered his education at Harvard during the NFL off-seasons, receiving his MBA, with intention of expanding his career past the NFL. Throughout his entrepreneurial endeavors, Gerome founded several companies across a variety of industries with support from major seed investors, including the late Tony Hsieh, former CEO of Zappos, via his Downtown Las Vegas Tech fund. His studies in finance led him to marry the concept of alternative assets with rare and valuable sneakers -another passion of Gerome’s. From this came the concept of Rares, the online trading platform where users invest in rare and valuable sneakers in place of the standard monetary stock. The company strives to guide young investors to financial literacy and comprehension of investment strategies with the ultimate goal of providing them with a successful future.
