Jovi Overo has over 20 years of experience across Fintech, Payments, Banking and Lending-as-a-Service space and is looking at launching and cementing Unlimint’s position as the Global leader in BaaS. He has an MBA from Imperial College Business School and spent two years at Contis where he was responsible for business development, sales strategy, and commercialisation of their white-label and API solution. Previous experience also includes working at Scale Up Lending as a Service Company and Head of Sales at Trade Ledger.
With a keen interest in people, Overo has a BA in psychology but was always involved in the financial services sector. In 2004, after working as a trader for one year, he decided to pursue his own entrepreneurial venture. He co-founded an Investment Trading Boutique which offered a range of derivative products for global professional clients and a growing Assets Under Management (AUM) from USD 2 million to USD 75 million. In 2013, he decided to expand his horizons achieving his MBA degree and moved to fintech-related endeavours from there. He fell in love with BaaS shortly after and has always harnessed a hunger to drive change through using and developing fintech products.
His journey with Unlimint began when he was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter. From there, he started giving professional advice on Unlimint’s products and went on to be hired as their Managing Director for BaaS. Currently, Overo is responsible for creating solutions from scratch and building them from the ground up, and building out the new BaaS division. This enables him to develop his creativity to bring change to the sector, help clients with all their financial needs, and meet his goal to make the world a more interesting and innovative place through fintech.
