Katherine is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at University of Winnipeg. She is currently teaching human resource management and organizational behaviour at the undergraduate level. Katherine research issues surrounding workplace inclusion and social justice, as such she studies factors that help maximize workforce participation among historically disadvantaged groups such as workers with disabilities, refugees, and immigrants. Katherine is also interested in workforce integration following release from the criminal justice system.

This is part of a broader trend in that we are seeing dramatically increased numbers of mental-health claims. It means that people will seek out help before they get to an absolute breaking point and they’re more likely to have a helpful intervention. So, that’s progress. However, because so many more people are now willing to help seek, we often don’t have the resources to deal with it.
