Riaz Cassum is JLL Capital Markets' Global Head of International Capital Coverage and an Executive Managing Director in the JLL Capital Markets, Americas Boston office. As Global Head of International Capital Coverage, Riaz oversees the team focused on accessing cross-border capital for JLL’s capital markets offerings worldwide. Additionally, as a member of JLL Capital Markets, Americas’ Executive Committee, Riaz is responsible for the overall direction of the firm’s U.S. capital markets business.
Riaz joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition in 2019 and has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets. He focuses primarily on originating debt and equity placement transactions throughout the United States, as well as raising discretionary funds and arranging programmatic joint ventures through his affiliation with HFF Securities. As a member of JLL Capital Markets, Americas’ Executive Committee, Riaz is responsible for the overall direction of the firm’s national capital markets offices. Throughout his career, he has completed in excess of $25 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
Riaz began his career with HFF in 1989 when it was known as Fowler, Goedecke, Ellis & O’Connor, Inc. At HFF he was also its co-head of the firm’s Global Capital Team. Prior to that, he was a vice president with Wells Fargo Bank.
