  • Even if you don’t follow the logistics industry closely, you’ve most likely heard that we have a driver shortage in the U.S. and it’s ultimately affecting all consumers through higher prices, shortages, disruptions or general uncertainty. Structurally, the macro and microeconomic and societal issues driving the shortage won’t be easy to overcome, therefore I’m excited about any innovations that can help alleviate the shortage and its effects given the broad, negative impact on the supply chain. These innovations could provide solutions around capacity, route optimization and staffing, or ones that address driver quality of life and the driving environment.
