Selena is an award-winning multimedia journalist and respected media leader with more than 10 years of experience in public speaking, hosting, writing, and content production. She currently serves as the Deputy Digital Editor of BLACK ENTERPRISE. She has interviewed the biggest names in politics and Hollywood, including VP Kamala Harris, Kevin Hart, Ciara, and Stacey Abrams. In 2020, Selena partnered with Social Media Week (ADWeek) to launch "Branding in the Age of Black Lives Matter," a virtual interview series that served to inform and educate marketers on how to effectively communicate, engage, and support conscious consumers of color. Selena is the creator of “Be Heard Talk," an award-winning live talk show and podcast that focuses on race, politics, and Black culture. Sen. Cory Booker and #BlackLivesMatter co-founder Alicia Garza have appeared on the show. She is also a keynote speaker and expert moderator who has spoken at and hosted conferences/events across the nation.
