T. Dallas Smith (https://tdallassmith.com) is the Forbes Books author of In The Black: Changing The Dominant Narrative In The Commercial Real Estate Industry. He is the founder and CEO of T. Dallas Smith & Company, the country’s largest African American-owned commercial real estate brokerage firm focused exclusively on tenant and buyer representation. Smith’s company has led projects across the country, with metrics exceeding more than 8 million square feet in office and industrial space, and 5,000 acres of land acquisitions. Since its inception, the team has grown exponentially, bringing to the table their collective experience in the industry having worked on assignments exceeding $16 billion in aggregate value in over 35 states. Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Georgia State University. Among his honors and awards, Smith was named Atlanta’s Most Admired CEO in 2017 and 2021 by The Atlanta Business Chronicle and was selected by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Georgians for 2021 and 2022. He now serves as 2023 president for the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors®, the first Black president in its history.
