The Albany Business Review’s Achievers Awards honor the area’s outstanding businesses and business leaders. The award categories offer recognition opportunities for individuals, companies and organizations.

The nomination categories are:
Executive of the Year: Nominees must be a vice president or higher in their company. The nominee should have been in a profitable company for at least a year and their contribution must be apparent and deserving of the award.

Company of the Year: Success and economic impact on the Capital Region are the main criteria. Nominees must demonstrate how their companies have grown, achieved new efficiencies, created jobs, increased profitability or promoted economic development in the region. Companies large and small, public and private, are eligible

Family Business Of the Year: A company who will be recognized for outstanding accomplishments of a family-owned business.

Nonprofit of the Year: This award recognizes a nonprofit organization demonstrating excellence in management and service. Organizations promoting cultural and artistic endeavors, as well as social welfare programs, are eligible.

Strategist of the Year: An individual responsible for the messaging and communications for an organization. This can include chief marketing officers, communications professionals or any executive involved in strategic communications.
