Since 2012, the DCFA has presented a ' Deal of the Year Award' every year for the most prominent transaction of the year. According to the jury, leading is understood to mean: the multidisciplinary character of the transaction, the creativity and expertise of the dealmakers themselves and the final result achieved.

The Board invites its members to choose one (or more) Deal(s) from their own practice and to nominate them via the website. A professional, independent jury, led by Hans Biesheuvel, will select three finalists from all entries who can present their Deal to the DCFA members and the jury on the day of the award ceremony. Subsequently, the jury will award the DCFA ' Deal of the Year Award 2022′ to the most prominent transaction of 2022.
