The Golden Apple Awards recognize outstanding employee health promotion programs in Washington State. The Washington State Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports originally established the Golden Apples in the mid-1980s to recognize excellence in promoting physical fitness and health. Today’s Healthy Worksite Summit Planning Team honors that tradition, and broadens it, to recognize public and private employers across the State who demonstrate real commitment to their employees’ overall well-being.
