The Investors Chronicle Investment and Wealth Management Awards are now in their 24th year. These awards identify and reward the best stockbrokers, products and financial service providers for their excellent service and value for money.

The categorisation is based on a survey which last year generated over 8,700 responses.

We use reader scores and an independent agency to collate the results. Readers complete a detailed questionnaire which asks them to name the firm or company that they use for a particular service, for example, execution-only share dealing. They are then asked to rate that company on a scale of ‘Poor’ to ‘Very Good’ (these are translated into points on a scale of 1 to 5) on a range of criteria such as costs, ease of contact, administration, range of services, financial security and quality of their research.

An independent agency collates the results in each category, using the thousands of completed questionnaires we receive. The tables show the individual criteria scores and overall scores for each company. The highest scoring company in each category, subject to criteria such as receiving a minimum number of votes, is selected as the winner.
