Nominees needed to demonstrate tech expertise, leadership and vision, and community advocacy. Their achievements and contributions to the tech industry had to be impactful, influential and, above all, inspiring. There is no lack of inspiring women who were brave, bold and adventurous in spirit. Last year, more than 850 nominations were received of which there were 466 women unique names. They came from all walks of life with varied backstories, all contributing in ways big and small to develop and nurture Singapore’s infocomm tech industry.
The objectives of the SG100WIT List are to:
1. Sustain momentum and build up Singapore Women in Tech (“SG WiT”) as an industry wide movement
2. Promote greater gender diversity in the tech sector so that women can pursue their career in IT
3. Nurture a more active community among female tech leaders, practitioners and students studying STEM
4. Provide thought leadership and nurture younger talents
