• Entrants will be asked to show how the business goes about encouraging creativity and new thinking and how knowledfe or technology play an important part in developing the business. You will be asked to focus on a particular example of a successful change implemented in the last two years. Evidence of success will help your case- what your criteria were and how the business has benefited financially, in market position, or in terms of growing or securing employment.

• This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.

FM World Community Business of the Year Award
• You will already be a successful business in your own right. The judges will need to see evidence of your success. More importantly to like to ‘give something back’. Whether you do it quietly or shout it from the hill tops, the judges will want to see what you do locally, how you do it and why. You cannot be shy in this category, tell it as it is. If you have any local coverage or evidence of your kind efforts – let us know.

Stanair Enterprising Business of the Year Award
• This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrepreneur of the Year Award
• You must be able to show how your business has progressed in line with your business plan and what potential there is for growth. Success will be demonstrated by your clear understanding of your marketplace, your position within it and your ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate. You will be required to show leadership qualities, and good managerial and financial practice. You should also demonstrate your creativity, entrepreneurialism and your enthusiasm for new ideas. A consciousness of self-development and ability to reflect on your own journey is essential.
Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme Green Award
• Being “green” in business terms means reducing or removing the harmful impact that products and/or services have on the environment.
Service Excellence Award
• The winner of this award will have the customer at its heart and will deploy and manage resources to most effectively meet the needs of its customer base. In most business disciplines the customer is offered a choice of supplier. To ensure the success of a business a customer care policy is paramount. This category encourages entries from any business that can demonstrate established and measurable systems for monitoring service standards.
Young Business Person of the Year Award
• For business people aged 30 or less (by 1st June 2015) who have demonstrated a high degree of entrepreneurship, creativity and vision for the future. The judges will be looking to identify a business that has set and achieved objectives within its business plans and established a position of sustainable profitability and success. In addition to this judges will want to see an understanding of the relationship between your own development and the success of the business.
Events & PR Not for Profit Business of the Year Award
• Not for profit is a type of organisation that does not earn profits for its owners. All of the money earned by or donated to a not for profit organisation is used in pursuing the organisation’s objectives. Typically not for profit organisations are charities or other types of public service organisations.
