Only logistics defies the corona pandemic: the asset class has become “everybody's darling”!
More than ever, it is clear that climate protection and the reduction of CO2 emissions are right at the top of the business agenda. This of course also applies to the logistics real estate industry. Because despite the Corona restrictions, the volume of new buildings also increased in 2020. And it looks similar for 2021. But it is also clear: logistics properties are the winners of the crisis. But how sustainable is this development? Because at the same time, the challenges of logistics settlements are increasing: increasing urbanization is exacerbating the lack of space, and climate change calls for measures to improve sustainability.
