Making Social and Economic Progress!
It is absolutely necessary to ensure that a society progresses in all the major areas in order to ensure holistic development and economic progress. Lop-sided growth would always result in social imbalances and the same will probably lead to wide-gaps in the society.

Egalitarian Society!

In an egalitarian society, growth process indicates an orderly growth process which enables, people to realize their full potential and lead a happy life. Unfortunately, global economy is undergoing a lot of transformation and is facing many risks, as well. For instance, trade disputes among nations, growth in global temperature, self-serving attitude of nations and political tussles among nations have largely contributed to the current unpleasant scenario. Yet another interesting aspect to be noted here is that until now, many economists believe that the growth and maturity of a society should be measured using Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as a key factor. Unfortunately, a growing body of literature, of late, has confirmed that GDP’s contribution to the growth of a nation contributes to the tune of 65% only while other important factors too make contributions in this regard. Social Progress and competitiveness have to be factored in to measure the growth of a nation, it is argued. Contribution to environmental progress should be also be carefully considered as a measure of growth, it has been stated.
