There are still many identified discoveries and promising prospects on the NCS. However, most discoveries are smaller, marginal and more complex. Many discoveries are also too small to stand alone and will require “tie-in/tie-backs” to existing hosts.

Additionally, it is a consensus that the industry must contribute positively to our global climate challenges. Energy efficiency and CO2 reduction targets must be met, which also creates a business opportunity in carbon capture and storage. This will require good cooperation and innovative thinking for cost-effective field developments with a focus on efficient operation with minimal emissions.

The industry needs to unlock challenging prospects and meet expectations from different stakeholders, with more efficient execution of safe, reliable, and cleaner projects. The event aspires to bring together the industry to identify some key enablers for this, with cooperation models for execution and operations, outlining the infrastructure opportunities and enabling technologies.
