Develop appropriate controls, systems and models in line with IFRS 17 to minimise the impact of the new accounting regulation in Life Insurance.
2nd Edition IFRS 17 Implementation in Life Insurance
The insurance industry has been hit with a big, new accounting standard, so big that it is being compared to Solvency II, which we all know caused a massive shake-up. It is without a doubt that IFRS 17 will set off another landmark shift, but exactly how big this shift will be is unknown to the industry at the moment. Firms are still grappling with what the requirements are asking for from the insurance contracts it issues.
Right now, what they do know is that IFRS 17 will impact the life insurers most, changing the way Life Insurance firms are measuring the risk and performance of Life Insurance contracts, pushing all firms to use one standard (BBA model), to create more transparency and consistency in the market allowing investors and analysts to better understand what Life Insurance contracts are profit or loss making. This marcus evans conference will show Life Insurance firms develop appropriate controls, systems and models in line with IFRS 17 to minimise the impact of the new accounting regulation in life Life Insurance.
