• The finding:

Almost all of the political spectrum now agrees that the country's growth will mainly be based on foreign direct investment.

The so-called "foreign capital", which has been critically called for many years in the past, seems not only to finally find its "legitimacy" in Greece, but also to be the most necessary factor for the recovery of the Greek economy.

Large foreign companies are starting to invest significant capital or to show strong investment interest in the country.

Despite significant government reform efforts, a number of pathogens and inherent dysfunctions in critical sectors and institutions still hinder barriers and make it harder for Greece to become an attractive investment destination.

• From idea to reality:

Government representatives, parties, executives of foreign companies in Greece, academics and specialists. The main theme of the event is the existing framework for foreign investment and, above all, the formulation of proposals and the formulation of options to improve this framework.

This annual Forum has two goals. On the one hand, to highlight the positions and views of foreign companies in Greece on how to make Greece an attractive destination for foreign investment. And, on the other hand, give the floor to representatives of the Government and parties to report on their actions, plans and positions on this issue.

Every year, the "Initiative For Foreign Investments In Greece" is prepared and published , which is presented to the media and is sent to the institutions of the country and the European Union.

The Initiative includes the positions and proposals of foreign companies in Greece, as expressed by their representatives. The text of the Initiative is presented and discussed at the annual InvestGR Forum: Foreign Investments in Greece.

Every year, before the annual Forum and the Initiative, a survey is carried out which reflects the attitudes and views of executives of foreign companies in Greece on the issues under discussion. The research is presented and discussed at the annual Forum.
