Tax planning has become increasingly necessary in the current environment of strong regulation. Tax professionals are faced with challenging legal and group tax compliance issues, business restructuring, and overall group tax planning. Digitalization and automation of business functions is having a major impact on the Corporate Tax function which leads to more pressure from regulators to comply with evolving tax legislation.

The legal aspect of corporate tax cannot be underestimated. More and more tax departments are formulating advanced legal strategies to deal with the various risks in their structures. Considering current tax control frameworks, updates of Pillar 1, Pilar 2, DAC7, new proactive measures such as APAs, it is critical to keep up to date on group taxation regimes in order to minimize reputational risk and gain competitive advantage.
