The Financial Times, in partnership with Analog Devices, is pleased to present this webinar for technology, business, and sustainability leaders from the manufacturing sector. The discussion will consider the essential role of technology investments in managing organisations’ energy consumption and in allowing companies not just to meet their productivity goals, but also to enable their businesses to thrive.

Regulations, consumer demand, and constrained energy supplies are creating new incentives for businesses to incorporate energy reduction more deeply into their strategies and operations, often by upgrading plant infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. Advanced industrial technologies will be integral to enabling organisations to create the required efficiencies, processes, and paths to adoption.

The ubiquitous creation of data from smart factories and connected equipment can be leveraged to identify which practices and processes are generating excess energy consumption and waste. This in turn allows operators to define a clearer path to decarbonisation. Yet for many manufacturers understanding what to prioritise is not clear, making it difficult to set out an effective strategy. Challenges around legacy processes, capital expenditures, as well as migration to data-driven operations, are holding many manufacturers back from re-imagining how they do business.
