With Brexit happening in April 2019, VAT accounting on EU sales and purchases will have to be changed. However with less than 12-months to go significant uncertainty still surrounds what the new rules are going to involve. This seminar will provide a timely update on the new rules as they stand with less than 6-months left before system changes need to go live. Making Tax Digital (MTD) is the second April 2019 challenge facing all VAT registrations. By removing the current on-line VAT return submission system everyone needs to use digital accounting software to submit VAT returns. While simplifications have been agreed in principle, none of the necessary software solutions have yet been designed. Melanie’s session will update members on the current state of play with MTD VAT proposals.
