The Alternative Credit Council (ACC) is pleased to announce its Global Virtual Summit 2021. The performance of private credit during the past twelve months has offered a robust response to those who questioned how it would weather a downturn. The Summit will explore the key challenges and opportunities for private credit and whether its resilience will withstand these tests throughout 2021. We will convene LPs, GPs and industry specialists representing the full breadth of the asset class to discuss the key questions that will determine the success of the asset class through the current crisis.

The audience will include private credit managers, investors, service providers and regulators.

The ACC Global Virtual Summit 2021 will take place over two days at times that will enable the participation of a global audience and will faciliate on-demand viewing

Sessions will include:

Investor views | Private credit as a recession-proof asset class – too early to call?
Our research has shown that private credit has, so far, successfully weathered the challenges of COVID-19. This session will explore the LP perspective on how their views of private credit has evolved over the last year and what conclusions they have drawn.

ESG for private markets: How to be consistent in a world where every deal is unique
This session will explore how market participants are developing consistent ESG disclosure and reporting processes within their portfolio and how they communicate this to their investors.

A halting surge? | New opportunities in capital raising
Capital raising for credit funds in 2020 was down to a 5 year low with fewer private credit funds on the road. This session will assess trends in funds and LPs are adapting their approach and what to expect in the rest of 2021.

A fund for all seasons? Structuring a credit fund for a changing market
The blurring of par lending, stressed, special situations, bridge financing and distressed debt opportunities means there is greater demand for a flexible approach to investing. How can private credit managers and investors build fund structures that maximise flexibility, while guarding against scope creep and inefficiency?

The future today: Hybrid working and the new normal
This session will consider whether private credit managers can adopt the ‘virtual only’ models that we are seeing in the liquid markets, and if the adaptations made by managers in the last 12 months are permanent or temporary.

Taking a global view: A macroeconomic view of private credit
This session will consider the impact of the stimulus packages introduced across the world and how these have affected the underlying investment rationale for private credit. Is bank retrenchment and a growing non-bank lending market still inevitable or will the sector have to adapt to continue fulfilling its potential?
