It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the 2019 Annual Property Funds Industry Forum. The Forum is one of the longest running annual events in the Australian property industry and attracts delegates and speakers of the highest calibre to provide an informed and well considered opinion on the sector. Over the years, the Forum has attracted a diverse set of delegates ranging from some of Australia’s largest property funds to the smaller funds, thus creating an environment for forming new relationships, networking with industry leaders and decision makers. The Forum sessions are intended to pave the way for decision making into the future rather than dwell on past events.
In this context, the theme for this year’s event is “On all things CORE”. CORE is the bedrock of the property funds industry where Capital, Opportunities, Risks, and Expectations, pretty much dominate boardroom discussions. At the same time, changes impacting the sector are multi-fold; innovation through new technology, political unrest, reshaping of cross border trade, disruptive business environments, and other structural and financial considerations.
Notwithstanding these waves of change, the demand from investors for predictable returns from the property sector remains high. This year’s program is being designed to specifically provide delegates with some solutions to navigate through this unusual investment environment. I am looking forward to seeing you at the event.
