This year sees the implementation of two major regulatory initiatives by the MAS – Environmental Risk Management (ERM) and Best Execution – both relevant to Singapore’s hedge fund community.

With the deadline for FMCs to demonstrate adherence with the ERM Guidelines is just six weeks’ away, the session will provide a recap on the following key considerations as FMCs look to make final adjustments and to roll out their ERM frameworks:
• the MAS’ key expectations
• what FMCs should be doing to meet these
• what a proportionate approach to ERM might look like

The session will also discuss what is expected of FMCs for the MAS’ Best Execution regime, implemented in March this year.
