With 50+ sessions to choose from, IOFM’s app2p conference provides peer-tested best practices to help you improve all facets of your ap and p2p processes. To help you maximize your experience. Choose the sessions you want from any track, however you want.
The 7 tracks are:
Track A: AP Fundamentals & Best Practices
Before diving into specific areas of AP process improvement, it’s important to have a strong foundation. This track provides the footing you need to get the most out of any changes you’re considering. Highlights include two sessions on capturing a greater share of early-pay discounts, case studies on automation transformation, and utilizing excel to unlock insights hidden in your AP data.
Track B: Operations & Compliance
Because the IRS has stopped interpreting tax law, AP professionals are on their own to navigate through this year’s 1099 season – except for those that rely on IOFM for assistance. This track is headlined by the tax experts at Cokala, the group that literally writes the book each year on 1099 and 1042-s compliance. This track will also include an expanded focus on unclaimed property laws: learn directly from peers, regulators and advisors to help you mitigate the risks associated with an up audit.
Track C: AP Security
Every penny your organization spends flows through you, meaning it is the responsibility of AP professionals to combat financial fraud and abuse. Attend sessions in this track to identify red flags of potential scams of all kinds – including those related to t&e expenses and p cards.
Track D: Leadership
Managing an AP or P2P team is one of the hardest leadership duties inside an organization: you are expected to meet daunting expectations, despite a lack of resources and senior-level respect. Selling upper management on why they should invest in your team, all while inspiring your team despite internal investment, is a monumental challenge. Attend these sessions to hear from peers on how they’ve raised the profile of their departments.
Track E: Payments
How and when to pay invoices is a tactical challenge. Attend sessions in this track not only to learn how to improve your payment processes, but to think strategically. For example, learn how discover has aligned AP and procurement and how MGM has simplified its payment allocations. Also learn how to balance the desire for payment efficiency with the business need to preserve cash.
Track F & G: AP & P2P automation case studies
The more automated an AP function, the more efficient it is. But with so many technology choices, where do you start? Attend these sessions to learn directly from the profession’s top technology experts. Topics range from how to automate for the first time, to how to roll out new technology seamlessly, to what cutting-edge technology should be on your radar.
