The Deputy Governor’s speech is about the “benchmark revolution”—highlighting the fact that interest rate benchmarks are at the core of modern financial systems and as such need to be reliable and resilient. She will discuss ongoing work to strengthen Libor and similar benchmarks and to develop possible alternatives, including for the Canadian dollar market. Following her remarks, there will be a Q&A period with the audience. Lunch will also be served as part of the program.
