Advisen will host a half-day seminar, focusing on the phenomenon of big, nasty claims in the casualty sector. Aimed at risk managers, carriers, legal and claims professionals in the Umbrella casualty sector, this seminar will gather the community to roll up their sleeves and dig into the process of insuring mass tort events.
Content will include an exploration of mass tort events, including recent large losses. Discussions will include:
• How to manage the risk: prevent an ‘event’ becoming a ‘crisis’
• Employing crisis management techniques
• What insurance cover is available under Umbrella policies
• How do claims work and how do you maximize recovery?
• Who gets involved and when? What roles do service providers and insurance play?
