A summit and expo collectively exploring inspire new solutions to meet this need through innovative thinking, multi-disciplinary expertise, and collaborative action for advancing the global transition to sustainable food systems.
With a global energy crisis, food shortages, and war in Ukraine looming in the background, negotiators are gearing up to gather in the German city of Bonn for a new round of UN climate talks. “Implementation” – or getting things done – was a major theme at last year's Bonn talks. This follows from years of talks that largely focused on sewing up the final sections of the Paris Agreement, the landmark climate deal aimed at keeping global warming well below 2C made by countries in 2015.
At the June sessions, discussions will take place on a range of important topics including greenhouse gas emission reductions, adapting to climate impacts, providing financial support for developing countries to cut emissions, and adapting to climate change. This triangulation is hoped to act as a catalyst to ensure no Party remains stagnant in their climate ambition.
