Globally, Brazil is second only to China in terms of overall renewable energy performance. This Amazonian giant boasts 149GW of installed power capacity and a GDP of an impressive $1,798.62 billion. Since 2012, Brazil has enjoyed $55.61billion worth of renewable energy investment. The Brazilian economy is now on an upwards curve, with inflation at a record low, and the national development bank, Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Economico e Social (BNDES) alone has invested over $29 billion in renewable energy in Brazil.
