In the best and worst of times, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) can provide small business owners with financing assistance through the SBA 504 program to secure owner occupied commercial real estate and equipment financing with as little as a 10% down payment. This discussion will focus on how small business owners can leverage the program to preserve capital and how to hedge against a rising interest rate environment by securing long-term, below market interest rates. The discussion will also focus on how banks can leverage the program to mitigate industry and collateral risk.
The panel will consist of SBA and Bank lenders who will discuss the loan program and process, and a CT-based business owner who will share his perspective on how the power of this SBA program benefitted his business in the best and worst of times.
